Q: Why is it important to be a Jewish leader in one’s community?

A: North American Jewish leaders should begin in their own communities building and strengthening them because we are an Or Lagoyim, a Role Model Nation. Through our communities’ unity, strength, and action, a chain reaction will help inspire Jews everywhere. We are all responsible for each other, no matter where we live.

 

Q: Why do you think JOLT will benefit you as a Jewish leader?

A: NCSY has given me tremendous opportunities [thus far] that I would have never had otherwise and has provided me with the tools and outlets to grow as a Jewish leader. I feel that JOLT is the next step in enhancing my Judaism and using my skills to inspire others.
