“We are living in a world where the social norm is far from the ideal life, morals and beliefs of a Jew.”
Q: What do you believe are the responsibilities of a North American Jewish Leader?
A: It is the responsibility of North American Jewish Leaders to be inspiring role models for the International Jewish community. We are living in a world where the social norm is far from the ideal life, morals, and beliefes of a Jew. Therefore, Jewish leaders must educate Jews within this society, to lead them towards a path of righteousness.
Q: What made you realize that you could be a Jewish leader yourself?
A: Last summer I was privileged to go on an amazing NCSY program called GIVE. During those five weeks of volunteering in Israel, I was exposed to a different reality of Israel. I have always relied on Israel to open its doors for me when there would be nowhere else to go, but for once I felt that Israel looked up to me for help. This made me realize the power and capability I have within myself to make a difference in someone’s life.
