Rabbi Chaim Albert is a Senior Specialist for Southern NCSY.  His original insights and heart warming stories have enabled him to change the lives of countless students. Rabbi Albert has developed a solid reputation as a dynamic leader with his service in many of our community’s largest Jewish Institutions.

Born in West Orange NJ, he and his family moved to Boca Raton as a child and became one of the founding members and Ba’alei Teshuva of Boca Raton Synagogue. It was a 10th grade trip to Israel with NCSY Kollel that really changed his life and became the turning point for him in terms of his commitment to yiddishkeit.

Rabbi Albert received a Bachelor’s in Talmudic Law from Yeshivat Shaalvim followed by Rabbinical ordination from Rav Yochanon Zweig.  He earned a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and even began The Foundation for Jewish Learning which became a successful social network for thousands of young Jewish students.  He then served as Rabbinic Head of Scheck Hillel in North Miami beach, and the National Director of Expansion for the Ben Gamla Hebrew Charter Schools Network. He currently is the Rabbi of Young Israel of Aventura.

For a period of time, Rabbi Albert was a Public School principal where he helped teenagers with college and vocational placement. He is also very knowledgeable about Jewish Life of many of the Southern College Campuses. His diverse experiences will prove to be a great asset to our graduating NCSYers.

In addition to his impressive resume, Rabbi Albert also knows how to have fun!  He loves to play tennis.  As a matter of fact, he was a ranked tournament tennis player here in Florida.  He also loves white water rafting and gives amazing motivational speeches to High School football players before Home Games.

He is married to an amazing and understanding wife, Leah and they have two teenagers, Aaron Shlomo and Ilana.   Rabbi Albert is excited to be a part of the Southern NCSY Team.
