TJJ 2014
“Hopefully when I become successful, I can give back to my community too.”
Q: How do you believe TJJ will impact your life?
A: I have never been to Israel. By travelling there, I will be able to see the real Israel, it wont be a country I only read and hear about anymore. There are many anti-Jewish and anti-Israel protestors out there. Upon my return, I will be able to defend the country and my people better because I will have learned about it and I will have seen it first hand.
Q: How do you feel about the NCSY philanthropists investing in teens like you?
A: By subsidizing the cost of TJJ, the financial burden will be diminished and parents are more inclined to send their children to Israel. I know that, personally, I would not have been able to attend otherwise. This gives me a responsibility towards the philanthropists because they invest in me despite the fact that we do not know one another. Hopefully when I become successful, I can give back to my community too. Every Mitzvah makes a difference.
