Combatting Antisemitism 

Documented cases of antisemitism are spiking to record levels throughout the United States. The need to support and educate future leaders has never been more important. Similarly, it is critical that false narratives that are pervasive through social media are quickly discredited. 

JSU’s F.A.C.T.S Initiative provides Jewish teens with tools and resources to effectively stand up for the Jewish people and Israel. Our partnership with Open Dor Media provides teens with strategies and knowledge to respond to challenges they face in schools and their communities, and on college campuses in the future. 

JSU is positioned to provide meaningful seminars through our network of 100 Jewish clubs in public and secular private schools. 

Israel Education 

Teens are at a formative time in their lives. It is critical that teens become comfortable and knowledgeable about their own stories. At the same time, as future leaders must understand the other narrative as well.  

In the weeks following October 7, 2023, JSU launched JSU’s Inaugural F.A.C.T.S Summit. The F.A.C.T.S Summit is entering its third year, and JSU is positioned to offer Summits throughout the region.  

The Summit includes a keynote speaker, interactive programming, and an opportunity for teens to engage activities aimed at confronting and responding to anti-Israel rhetoric. Past speakers have including Congressman Brian Mast, Congresswoman Lois Frankel, and Ilan Sinelnikov of Students Supporting Israel. 

Israel Travel 

The pinnacle program of JSU is The Jerusalem Journey (TJJ) 

Since 2023, our trips have tripled in size bringing nearly 140 public and secular private schools teens to Israel on a four-week journey. The trips solidify attachment to Jewish heritage and life-long Jewish pride.  

JSU trips don’t end at the departure gate at Ben Gurion Airport; JSU offers a robust follow up program throughout the rest of high school. Many of our alumni choose to do a gap year in Israel prior to college. 

As the number of number of JSU clubs grows, so does the number of teens who travel with us on TJJ. 

College Preparedness 

A core component to sustaining Jewish pride in the face of antisemitism and anti-Israel rhetoric is ensuring that the Jewish journeys of Jewish teens continue beyond high school. We’ve developed partnerships with AEPi, AIPAC, Jewish Federations, the Jewish Future Promise, Stand with Us and Students Supporting Israel and other organizations.  

We’ve successfully integrated these organizations into our in-school clubs and Summits to make sure that JSU teens our equipped with passion and leadership skills to sustain their Jewish pride on campus and thoughout adulthood.
